River study
Tue 07 Jul 2026Class 3 went to the Dell to explore their study of rivers as part of Geography. They measured the width, did a litter count, measured the flow of the water, looked at the quality of the water and made some observational sketches of river features.

Class 1 - Little Red Riding Hood
Fri 01 May 2026Class 1 have been reading the traditional tale ‘Little Red
Riding Hood’. We had a wonderful time making jam sandwiches for Grandma then writing instructions on how to make them. We even had a lovely picnic with the rest of the sandwiches!

Visit from ST Water
Wed 22 Apr 2026The school had a visit from Severn Trent where we learnt how to save water and also found out about what happens to the objects we put in the toilet!
Class 3 then had a workshop. The children learnt how water is cleaned including a home-made filter and the journey that the water takes including the water cycle. They then took part in an activity measuring out how much water a family uses to determine if they are 'water savers' or 'water wasters'.

The topic was ‘Curiosity’ so we used microscopes and bioveiwers and investigated gears. Class 2 made nests from moss, twigs, sticks and leaves.
