Sports Premium

The government is providing extra funding to schools.  The aim of this funding is to improve the Physical Education (PE) and Sports programs offered by primary schools and is provided jointly by various governmental departments including Education, Health and Culture and Media and Sport. Funding for schools is calculated by the number of primary-aged pupils between the ages of 5 and 11.

All schools with seventeen or more primary-aged pupils will receive a lump sum of £16,000 plus a premium of £10 per pupil.  The Sports premium is ‘ring fenced’  which means it can only be spent specifically on PE and sport within the school and must be used to increase the breadth of PE and sport provision and increase participation in PE and sport.

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
